Liar Game Live Action $(this).corner(); Genre: Japanese, Manga adaptation, Psychological, Suspense, Gambling, Comedy Rating: 9/10 Summary: What would you do if you found a suitcase with 100 million in cash? Would you take it even after knowing that you must participate in a ’Liar Game’ where the goal is to trick the other players out of their hundred million. The winner gets 100 million while the loser becomes in debt of 100 million. How good can you lie and how good can you spot a liar? Watch this drama to find out. Comments: First swindling jdorama I have seen and I must say, I’m liking this genre. Though the girl can be annoying at times for being so foolish and believing everyone that participates in the ’Liar Game’ game, the main guy makes up for that. Akiyama-san is too cool for this show. Bad Family $(this).corner(); Genre: Korean, Comedy, Family, Mystery, Cuteness, Romance Rating: 10/10 Comments: Don't get fooled by the old people in the pic. It is a drama for all ages. The main protagonist in the story is actually the little girl. When her entire real family died from a car crash, she was adopted by these group of fake family to make her remember her past. It has hilarious moments, especially the relationship between an ex-mafia and an ex-fish market seller. Densha Otoko aka The Train Man $(this).corner(); Genre: Japanese, Romance, Online Forum, Comedy, Dating, Otaku Rating: 9/10 Comments: All I can say about this drama is everyone acts like an anime character. Densha is such a weakling when it comes down to talking to women. It is very heartwarming when he tries to act cool in front of her, but at the same time, you just want to yell "Ask her out already, and stop with those weird faces." My Girl $(this).corner(); Genre: Korean, Comedy, Romance, Con-artist Rating: 10/10 Comments: About a woman con-artist who pretends to be a rich bishie's cousin to fulfill his grandpa's dream of finding his long-lost granddaughter. This drama reminds me so much of Full House. From the way the girl's hair is tied and two bishies fighting for the same girl. The ending though is a lot better than Full House because it does not repeat what has happened for the past 3 episodes. LOL. Taiyou no Uta aka A Song to the Sun $(this).corner(); Genre: Japanese, Drama, Singing, Disease Rating: 9/10 Comments: A girl who has a rare terminal illness by which she cannot be exposed to sunlight or else she dies. Sad, but really good acting from Sawajiri Erika. I fell in love with her dramas since 1 Litre of Tears. I do hope that she stops with these death dramas because it’s too sad to see her do that all the time. On this one she dreams of becoming a singer. Is she perhaps also a singer in Japan? My Name is Kim Sam Soon $(this).corner(); Genre: Korean, Comedy, Romance Rating: 10/10 Basic Plot: A chubby, hoarse sounding woman only wants to find her man, get married and bake cakes. Is that so hard to ask for ... well yes, but watch this drama and see how our main girl captures her prince charming. Comments: At first, I was hesitant in watching this drama. I waited until there was a lack of dramas to watch in d-addicts and so I tried this one out. The first episode was really really long, but after that, the pace and the storyline captivated me. Sam Soon is not my favorite drama character, but you gotta love her spunk and energy. When she wants something, she fights for it. Devil Beside You/ Akuma De Sourou $(this).corner(); Genre: Taiwanese, Comedy, Romance, Shoujo Rating: 8/10 Comments: About two perfect strangers becoming siblings and falling in love. It is a manga adaption of Akuma De Sourou by TAKANASHI Mitsuba. I actually haven’t read the manga, but just collected it because I really liked the drama. The Akuma is HOT. When he makes that devilish smile, it makes me melt. LOL. | |
