Summary: In a world of alchemy, the Elric brothers only have one goal, that is to revive their dead mother. This is possible with alchemy, but doing so comes with a gigantic sacrifice. The older brother, Edward, loses one of his legs while the younger brother loses his entire body and his soul gets stuck on a humongous piece of Armor. Is this what they wanted? Or too much was sacrificed for a wish that was not fully granted. Would you make the same choices as them?
Comments: The first episode (Japanese version) scared me at first because of the creepy graphics, but after all the commotion of the "reviving", the anime became lighthearted with a great plotline. It balances out morality, comedy, romance and action really well. The anime fully deserves the attention it is getting right now. Watch the movie "Conqueror of Shamballa" after finishing the series for the real ending to the story.

Comments: It is about Mitsuki, a 12 year old girl, who is destined to only live for one more year. Even with a throat sickness, she wants to achieve her dream of becoming a famous pop singer before she dies. With the help of her shinigamis Taruto and Meroko, will her dreams come true? Best anime for the perfect ending ever.

Comments: Short stories in each episode. The main protagonist, Ginko, is a mushishi who helps people, villages and anything supernatural solve their problems. Love the art style so much. The background music is also very endearing and sets up the perfect mood for the anime. Each of the episodes will either make you cry, scared, thrilled, happy or just plain entertainment value.

Summary: What would you do if you met your older self, who came from another dimension, and told you "you’re pathetic"? He tells you that your best girl friend (or is it his girl) will die in order to save you and the entire world in the future and you cannot do a thing about it. Would you believe him or laugh it off as a joke? Hurry up, no time to doubt yourself when the world is dissapearing right before your eyes!!
Comments: For an intense action and mindboggling mystery, I highly recommend watching this anime. Can’t believe it is such an underrated anime for a grand story that is on par with Death Note and Full Metal Alchemist.

Summary: Our main character is Ichimura Tetsunosuke, an energetic, short, and very childlike 15 year old. He and his older brother Tatsu have to fend for themselves after losing their parents from the malicious hands of a band of rebels. They joined the Shinsengumi team supposedly as manual labor workers, but Tetsu has another plan. He wants to learn the art of samurai to get revenge for his parent’s death. Throughout the anime, we see a glimpse of most of the Japanese historical figures of the Shinsengumi and the struggle of a teenager who cannot forget the trauma of seeing blood gush from his parent’s bodies.
Comments: Highly recommended to those who love Kenshin, Naruto or other samurai, and historical animes. It is only a 26 episode anime. The episodes will either make you cry, laugh from the hilarious moments or be astounded by the amazing animation for its time.
